Back in 2014 Shemesh Automation Wet Wipes was first to market with a revolutionary vertical round wipes canister stuffing machine – the SAS120. Almost a decade later, the SAS remains the only empirically proven vertical canister wipes stuffer in the market, with over 30 units sold in the U.S. alone. However, the innovation never stops at Shemesh and at IDEA22 in Miami (booth 4808) the company will be showcasing some brand new models and enhancements to the SAS range. SAS160 to SAS500: More Shemesh Round Wipes Canisters Stuffers available with all-new models capable of running at 160ppm, 180ppm, 200ppm and 500ppm Building on the great empirical success of its SAS60, SAS120 and SAS250 round wipes canisters stuffers (designed for 60ppm, 120ppm and 250ppm throughputs respectively), Shemesh Automation is now introducing four more models to the market. In particular, the new SAS160 and SAS500 models are designed to vertically stuff round nonwoven-made rolls at speeds of 160ppm and 500ppm respectively. Models will also be available to run at 180ppm and 200pm upon request. For the 160ppm SAS160 model, Shemesh is using the exact same proven technology as its current 120ppm SAS120 model while slightly increasing the turret size in order to achieve the higher throughput. The SAS500 also uses the same proven technology which is then multiplied from one to four turrets inside one monoblocc, resulting with 48 stuffing stations into which four rolls are being simultaneously fed via four independent chutes. The “Quadro Approach” is quite similar to the Shemesh SAS250 Duo Stuffer of which Shemesh already has multiple successful installations. SAS500 Main advantages: • Proven concept • Easy to changeover – one turret at a time while others can still run – thereby minimizing downtime significantly. Safety separators to be built-in within the monoblock to separate the turrets • Can run any or all turrets, as chosen • Jam in one turret will not stop the other three turrets from running – thereby achieving real continuous operation mode. Furthermore, both the SAS160, SAS500 and the rest of the Shemesh Stuffers – SAS60, SAS120, SAS180, SAS200 & SAS250 – now come with enhanced software and more industry 4.0 features making the Shemesh Stuffers easier to track efficiency, more user friendly to operate while functions as smart “Roll Crash Prevention Control” mechanisms contribute to a more consistent, accurate and quiet operation than ever before. At the IDEA Nonwovens show in Miami, Shemesh’s team of experts will be on hand to talk visitors through all of the latest innovations within its SAS stuffer range, and of course the rest of its industry-leading nonwovens portfolio – including its complete turnkey packaging lines for wipes in canisters and flexible packs.
